Large Doors still open wide on little
hinges
the story of the Woodlands House of Prayer
Trust.
It is not inappropriate that the present
home of The Woodlands House of Prayer Trust
is Brunel Manor, the house that Isambard
Kingdom Brunel, the great engineer, designed
for himself. Brunel was a visionary who
could find a way to build the seemingly
impossible. What follows is the story of
how a vision given by God to two ladies
in the dark days of 1942 has grown to its
present fulfilment - and is still growing!
Part I of this book is the story written
in 1982 by Vera Hawkins, one of those two
ladies, in which she gives the exciting
and thrilling account of how the Lord is
the God of the impossible. Part II, written
in 1993 by Mike Blunsum, records the wonderful
way in which God has continued to guide
and provide in all the work of the Trust,
and how He has enabled the ministry to develop
even further.
Reading the whole story of the past 50+
years is a cause for rejoicing for the past,
an inspiration for the present and a challenge
for the future. To God be all the glory!
