The prayer of a righteous man is powerful
and effective. Elijah was a man just like
us. He prayed earnestly that it would not
rain, and it did not rain on the land for
three and a half years. Again he prayed,
and the heavens gave rain, and the earth
produced its crops.
James 5:16-17
 Friends
are an essential and integral part of the
ministry of Brunel Manor. They provide the
vital prayer support that is behind all
that goes on here as they pour out their
earnest prayers before God, coming clothed
in the righteousness that comes through
faith in Jesus Christ.
Being a Friend of Brunel Manor becomes
an exciting and rewarding way of keeping
in touch with all that goes on here at the
Manor. Our regular newsletter and prayer
diary, which we can send out by post or
email, will help you be informed of the
prayer requests, encouragements and developments
that occur here as we seek to serve God
in this place, and give you an insight into
the lives of many of the people who work
with us.
 Becoming
a friend also entitles you to take up our
special offers, such as Friends Discount
Breaks and Discount Vouchers, which are
strictly for the benefit of our Friends.
There are normally four Friends Discount
Breaks during each year, two each during
January and December. These provide a unique
time of fellowship together, with a variety
of daytime and evening events, including
specific times of prayer for the ministry
of the manor and a guest concert. These
are always very popular and successful and
are appreciated by many of our Friends;
it is also a way in which we can thank our
Friends who pray and support us throughout
the year.
If you are not already a Friend of the
Manor, then do please join, it costs a nominal
sum of £10 annually per person, renewable
on 1st January. Donations over and above
the subscription are eligible for Gift Aid,
unfortunately the Friends subscription is
not eligible. Please request an application
form by
email from friends@brunelmanor.com and return
this with your subscription to the Manor.
