What are the habits that we need to cultivate in order to become highly effective believers? During this week we will explore seven Biblical characters and their “habits” which enabled them to become highly effective people in their generation and within their culture. By applying these to our own situation we will be encouraged to become more effective as believers within our family and community context.
Angela Seaton Mills will be our speaker for this break...........
After retiring from a teaching career & bringing up her two daughters as a single parent Angela was invited to become a chaplain on The Lee Abbey International Christian Community in North Devon where she spent six memorable and informative years living, working and ministering to community and guests. Out of her own brokenness & healing she has developed a passion to see Christians, particularly leaders, find wholeness and healing for their lives and develop a deeper relationship with God.
Her very early training included healing prayer courses with Agnes Sandford & four years Clinical Theology with Dr Frank Lake. She has an advanced diploma from Matrix College of Counselling and Psychotherapy and an honours degree in integrative counseling from Middlesex University. She is part of the team of ‘Deep Release’ www.deeprelease.org.uk and an accredited member of The Association of Christian Counsellors and UKCP.
Angela trained as a spiritual director at Worth Abbey where ‘The Monastery’ and ‘The Big Silence’ programmes were filmed. She has also been on the national teams of ‘Wholeness through Christ’ and ‘Christian Prayer Ministries.’
At present she is an itinerant minister for her church oasischurch.org.uk and speaks at retreats & conferences, leads workshops & training days in conference centres & churches throughout the UK. Her heart's desire is to help equip individuals and churches to become emotionally and spiritually healthy. She has a private therapy practice, loves Jesus & His presence, swimming, walking, gardening, cooking, driving, traveling, music, art, the theatre, friends & chocolate!
