Trustee / Director

We are currently seeking to appoint up to four Trustees/Directors, to join the Board. We are looking for committed individuals who will bring their professional expertise and skills to help Brunel Manor/Woodlands House of Prayer deliver its mission effectively, by overseeing the overall policies and objectives of the organisation and by ensuring that the work of the organisation is monitored and evaluated effectively.

The new Trustees will be individuals of exceptional calibre and will have a demonstrated interest in, and passion for ‘the love of Jesus showed through hospitality’, and not least seeking a prayerful life. They will be able to demonstrate strong intellectual and independent judgement skills, experience of strategic decision-making, and the ability to operate effectively at Board level or equivalent. In addition, they will bring a strong track record of distinguished achievement in their chosen fields.

We are particularly interested in candidates who bring significant commercial experience from within charitable business, as well as fundraising, buildings, and marketing expertise. 

The directors and trustees meet approximately 6 times a year, mostly on a Friday.

Bookkeeper/Administrator 
Brunel Manor (Woodlands House of Prayer) - Torquay TQ1 
£15,000 a year - Part-time

To maintain timely and accurate records of financial transactions using SAGE accounting

Produce P&L accounts monthly for the board of directors and trustees

To be involved with the management of cash

A competent user of Microsoft office

Assist with office administration

4 Days a week.(flexible)

To support the values of a Christian charity.

A willingness to train in the use of a hotel booking and EPOS system in order to extract information for reporting purposes.

Any job offer will be dependent on satisfactory job references and an enhanced CRB check.

Retail Tea Room Team Leader – 1 year -  Are you passionate about great tasting  Barista coffee and tea. Our kitchen team delight in preparing  light lunches and homemade cakes, could you serve these to visiting guests in our tea room?

We are due to relocate our retail sales to the tea room area, and are looking for this team leader role to oversee the the display and selling of our stock.

Guest Dining Experience Team Leader – 1 year – are you 'given to hospitality'?  An opportunity to share your gifting.

Receptionist / Administrator - 18 months - this role is a front of house role, it will involve answering guest enquiries, using the telephone, making bookings, photocopying, supporting hospitality operations. Must be computer literate.

Social Media and Marketing administrator - 18 months - we are really excited at seeing how God is growing Brunel Manor. Could you help facilitate working with the centre manager to deliver the vision and mission? We are looking for someone who has a back ground in graphic design, website and social media.
