Choice Words Christian Bookshop in Queen Street Newton Abbot are celebrating their 21st anniversary this year. Another cause for celebration was on the 15th September at the National Christian Resources Awards at Swanwick in Derbyshire when Choice Words were awarded Independent Retail Store of the Year 2015 UK &Ireland. The Owners Roy and Pam Brittle and their staff are delighted with this recognition the third time they have won this award. They would like to thank all the local Churches, Schools and general public who support them. In addition to the Newton Abbot store Choice Words have ‘Outlet Shops’ in Torquay at Brunel Manor, Paignton, Totnes, Brixham and Kingsbridge. Through our retail outlets we make available probably the largest range of Christian books, music, cards, gifts and resource materials in the South West.  Another feature of Choice Words is supplying bookstalls for conferences, exhibitions, festivals or any other event throughout mid and south Devon.

A further encouragement for Choice Words this year was when they applied through the Booksellers Association for a ‘James Patterson Grant’. An American author who is passionate  about  encouraging children to read books. Choice Words already have a comprehensive Children’s department but were thrilled to receive a grant award of £500 which will help to develop this area.

Choice Words Mission Statement is To Serve – Support – Encourage – and Equip Gods Church.

Also available at Brunel reception are a variety of stamps and booklets specific to Brunel Manor, including Large Doors Still Open Wide On Small Hinges, the faith-inspiring story of the Woodlands House of Prayer Trust.
